Amusement in Argentina

After a pretty nice nights sleep, I decided to meander into town and check Ushuaia out. First stop was El museo del fin del mundo (The Museum at the End of the World), which showed the interesting history of this part of the world, from the native tribes that used to live there to the prison that used to be located here.

Another museum in town showed old-timey things!

I walked around and signed up for my penguin (!) excursion and talked to some other travel agencies to decide what to do. One person gave me a free hot chocolate coupon, which apparently is the key to making me want to buy whatever it is you are selling. Hopefully when the day comes for me to buy a car, some shady car salesman doesn't offer me some delicious hot chocolate, because I will probably buy a lemon right away.

I went out to try some empanadas from a place that was in my guidebook and was extremely disappointed. Poor quality, small, and expensive. That seemed to be my general impression of Ushuaia's food, which makes sense I suppose. The city is so far from everything else. Everything seemed to cost 50 - 70% more than it would cost in Buenos Aires.
